Midlands Striper Club held its last tournament of 2014 out of Acapulco Landing on December 20th.  We had a great turnout for a December tournament with a bad weather forecast that turned out not so bad. Twenty teams fished. 67 fish were brought to the scale with a 6.5 pound average.
Team Stoneage, Liz and Rick Sineath, stole the show with a live weigh in of a two fish creel weighing 42 lbs, a great way to end the year. Their two weighed 27 and 15 lbs. respectively, taking not only 1st Place, but also Big Fish for December which turned out to be Big Fish for 2014! Liz topped that off by taking Lady Angler for December! Well done!
Team Catchall finished 2nd with 4 stripers weighing 28.73. 3rd place went to Team Shad Up & Fish with four weighing 28.08. The Youth Angler for December was Daniel Powell. 11th place went to team Rocky Bottom and 18th place to team Justin Alvershire. The event’s Smallest Creel went to Team Hardcore.
14 teams weighed in 4 fish each, 1 team weighed 3, 3 teams weighed 2 fish each and 2 teams weighed a
1-fish creel.
