MSC Lady Angler
2009 Tournament . . .
Midland Striper Club's annual 2009 Lady Angler tournament was held Saturday, September 26th out of Jakes Landing on Lake Murray. The weather was a little chilly and overcast, but the fish were biting. Eight lady anglers weighed in twelve fish in the half-day outing. Each angler was limited to two fish at weigh-in. MSC club members were fishing guides for the event.

Claire Wessinger of Newberry finished in first place with two fish weighing 29 lbs. 3 ozs. Claire, a MSC Lady Angler tournament winner in previous years, also landed the event’s largest striped bass, a 15 lb. 14 oz. fish to take the Big Fish trophy home as well.
