All the ladies are winners every year at MSC's annual Lady Angler tournament!

MSC’s September Lady Angler tournament saw many ladies brave high winds and chilly temperatures in what turned out to be a slow bite for our annual event. For the last month Lake Murray has produced record level striped bass fishing. Unfortunately for our ladies, the cold front seemed to really give the stripers lock jaw for the event.
Nineteen ladies did participate, but only nine were fortunate enough to bring stripers to the scale, totaling thirteen fish in all. I think all deserve accolades for battling the harsh weather conditions!
Finishing in first place with two fish weighing 11 lbs 7 ozs and also the events largest fish at 6 lbs 4 ozs was Elena Richardson of Aiken SC. Second place went to no stranger in the Ladies event, Jennifer Lindler from West Columbia SC, with her two fish creel weighing 11 lbs 4 oz. Third place went to Diana Richardson of Aiken SC, fishing out of the same boat as Elena, with her two fish weighing 10 lbs 11 ozs.
pecial thanks go out to Jim and Elizabeth Gibbs for faithfully organizing the event, Charles Fortner for cooking along with Mr. Grady allowing MSC to host our tournament at the Lake Murray Boating and Sports Club (what an awsome venue!).
