Tournament Participation:
By fishing in a tournament sponsored by Midlands Striper Club, each participant ,
whether member or guest, recognizes that Midlands Striper Club is not responsible for
any participant's safety. MSC has no control over the weather ( or its effects ), the acts of other boaters, the condition or hazards of the lake, or any number of unsafe conditions that may arise while fishing. Each participant of
MSC tournaments understands the potential safety problems which may arise while fishing and voluntarily consents to participate knowing
the risks involved.
Midlands Striper Club's November Team Tournament was held Saturday, November 21 out of Spinner's Resort on Lake Murray. 35 Anglers in 16 boats participated, and 33 keeper striped bass came to the scales.
First place went to Team Wildman with a total weight of 21 lbs., 8 ozs. Team Wildman consists of Donnie and Justin Christopher, both of Rock Hill, Skip Morgan of Rock Hill and Danny Young of Sumter.
2nd place went to Team Jonboy, consisting of the husband and wife team of Harold and Debbie Alewine of Rock Hill, with 19 lbs., 4 ozs.
In 3rd place was Team Nobody, made up of Billy Durant and James Cassell, both of Chapin and Weston Thomas of Lexington. The team weighed in 17 lbs., 5 ozs.
The Nichols Store of Rock Hill Big Fish was caught by Team 50%, captained by Van Cook of Chapin, with an 8 lb., 6 oz. striped bass. The event's Smallest Legal Creel was caught by Team 2 Guys and a Gizzard, consisting of Cam Littlejohn of Columbia and Woody Barnes of Lexington.
