MSC is a family-oriented fishing club organized to stimulate public awareness of striped bass fishing. We promote sportmanship, conservation and demand adequate water quality. We're based in Columbia, S.C. on beautiful Lake Murray.
Tournaments are held on the third Saturday of each month, with times following safe light conditions. July is usually a night tournament beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m. and ending Saturday at 10:00 a.m. We have a Youth Tournament and a Ladies Tournament annually.
Membership fee is currenty $30 per year for the entire family or $15 after July 1st. If you wish to join, you may download an application form in Adobe Acrobat Reader format here.

In fond memory of member "Mr. Ed" Woodward, who passed away on July 29, 2009.
Midland Striper Club's October Individual Angler tournament was held Saturday, September 19th out of Spinner's Resort on Lake Murray. 30 anglers fished the all-day event, and 10 anglers weighed in 19 striped bass.
1st Place went to James "Fogman" Lindler of West Columbia with a total weight of 17 pounds, three ounces. James also caught the Nichols Store of Rock Hill Big Fish, a 7 pound, 1 ounce striped bass.
Finishing in 2nd Place was Lee "Catchall" Thomas of Leesville with a weight of 14 pounds, 4 ounces. Close behind in 3rd Place was Rick "Cowcatcher" Kellemeyer of Chapin with 14 pounds, 2 ounces.
The event’s smallest legal fish was caught by Richy Brensinger of Lexington.
